OTF Scale is the ideation-stage fund of the Oman Future Fund. We write the first cheque before the product exists, then work alongside founders through incorporation, first hires, first customers and the round that follows.

01Do I need a product or revenue to apply?+
No. OTF Scale invests at ideation stage. We expect a clearly defined problem, a founding team with a reason to solve it, and a first experiment we can fund.
02How much do you invest?+
Initial funding goes up to 40,000 OMR at ideation stage. The amount is set against the first experiment we agree with you, and the Oman Future Fund network is a natural source of follow-on capital once the company is working.
03Who can apply?+
Founders building in Oman, founders willing to incorporate here, and Omani founders currently abroad who want to come home to build. If you are unsure whether you qualify, apply anyway, we would rather read it than have you self-reject.
04How does OTF Scale relate to the Oman Future Fund?+
OTF Scale sits under the Oman Future Fund umbrella and is its dedicated ideation-stage vehicle. The wider fund and its partners are a natural source of follow-on capital.
05What do you take in return?+
A minority equity stake on standard early-stage terms. We do not take board control and we do not require a majority.
06Are you sector-specific?+
No. Our portfolio spans many sectors. The bias is toward businesses that close a real gap in the Omani or wider Gulf economy.
07I am not a founder. Can I still work with you?+
Yes. Ecosystem partners, accelerators and corporates are welcome to reach out, and our portfolio companies are hiring continuously across all fourteen sectors.
OTF Scale runs its investment process in collaboration with Al Jabr, from first screening through diligence and committee, and works with them to give founders access to accelerator programmes and ongoing support services.
